Beauty Washing Cloth by Moonlight Kakemono

Comments - Charming kakemono or vertical diptych of a beauty washing cloth on a moonlit night. She pauses to look up at a glowing full moon as an evening breeze blows the willow branches overhead. She holds a mallet in one hand, her other hand resting atop a mortar with fabric trailing over the side. Her kimono is tucked up at the back, and her sleeves are tied back with a red sash. An attractive Edo era beauty design. A lovely kakemono by Kuniyoshi.
