Miyamoto Musashi in Battle - Fantastic illustration from a series depicting the exploits of the legendary warrior monk Miyamoto Musashi, who was famed for his skill with a blade and founded the Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu or Niten-ryu style of swordsmanship. These terrific black and white designs show characters and encounters from the legendary samurai's life. Inspired by the legend, this series portrays Musashi's martial process and feats of strength as he faced off against battle hardened samurai and fierce supernatural creatures. A spectacular series by Hokusai whose artistic mastery is evident in these dramatic and visually captivating illustrations.
