Sixty-odd Provinces by the Mainichi Art Publishing Company - This lovely reprint from Hiroshige's "Famous Views of the Sixty-odd Provinces" was published in 1997 by the Mainichi Art Publishing Company of Tokyo as part of a limited edition release of 300 sets. These designs are beautifully printed with fresh, vibrant color and fine detail, including soft bokashi shading. A terrific opportunity to acquire a fine, limited edition reprint from the series.
Izumo Province, Taisha, Depiction of Hotohoto - Terrific Hiroshige scene depicting young women near the Izumo Shrine during Hotohoto. Hotohoto was a local New Year celebration in Izumo Province. During the festival, young people would dress in disguises and go from house to house to get small gifts. A beautiful print with excellent color and fine bokashi shading.
