Fisherman and Samurai with a Sandal

Comments - Intriguing kabuki scene of a samurai at left holding a sandal up before a fisherman, leaning forward with an angry frown. The fisherman looks back at him with a sober expression, his fishing pole over his shoulder and a net in in his other hand. His black kimono features a subtle burnished floral pattern. At right, another samurai watches the pair intently as he pushes up his sleeve. He wears a green and brown print robe over a suit of armor, his swords at his side. Trees are silhouetted against the dark night sky along the horizon. A handsome design, with large expressive figures, soft shading in the background, and a dusting of mica across the top of the sky.
