Beauty Carrying a Sword

Comments - Lovely portrait of a beauty serving as a sword bearer for a young prince, holding the weapon upright, the scabbard wrapped in deep purple cloth. She wears a purple kimono patterned with colorful chrysanthemums and fans, tied with a geometric print obi with scalloped dragon motifs. An elegant screen beside her features cranes and pine branches with a deep red sun, the black lacquer frame burnished to a subtle sheen. A blossoming plum tree frames the view outside. A beautiful design, attractively colored and detailed with embossing in the white kimono trim and the cranes' feathers.
