A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Fording the Oi River, 1853 - Terrific scene of travelers crossing the Oi River, the water crowded with porters carrying customers across the wide waterway. In the center, a beauty rides atop a wooden platform smiling happily, while behind her, another woman rests comfortably in her palanquin on a platform. Near the top, other porters carry men on the shoulders. An interesting subject.
