Dancing beneath a Maple Tree, 1852

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of two beauties and a man performing a dance beneath a maple tree with orange leaves. At right, the man hops on one foot as he raises his sleeve, a slightly worried expression his face as he stares off into space. The women in the center strikes a pose with both hands extended, while the beauty at left waves her arms. She wears a red kimono decorated with chrysanthemums, the long sleeves trimmed with bows and tassels, a cluster of small flowers atop her head. In the background, autumn grasses and blossoms frame a view of field stretching out into the distance. Nice expressive figure in an attractive setting.
