The Geisha Ohana, 1859

Comments - Charming portrait of the geisha Ohana standing outside a building in the countryside at night. She smiles as she looks over her shoulder while tying her obi about her waist, a roll of tissued caught between her teeth. Her kimono features an intricate pattern of stylized waves, worn over a red under robe, the ends of her obi decorated with irises and clouds. An attractive design with an interesting setting.
