Commoners Drawing Swords

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of three commoners arguing, the fellow in the center scowling angrily as the men on either side of him draw their swords. He stares at his companion with a tight-lipped frown, his arms firmly folded across his chest. The man at left wears a purple outer kimono with an eerie pattern of skulls and bones over a red and white under robe, the sleeves pushed down to the waist. The red and white robe of the commoner at right features a bird with outstretched wings above tie-dyed clouds. Blossoming cherry branches frame the dark blue sky above. A striking design with large colorful figures.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 27 7/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Vertical fold in each panel. Thinning along fold, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling, a few creases and stains, slight rubbing along fold. Please see photos for details.
