The Life of Japanese Children - Charming shin-hanga set of six woodblock prints illustrating "The Life of Japanese Children," published by Kyoto Hanga-in circa 1950s. The prints show children taking part in everyday activities throughout the year, from catching fireflies in summer to walking through the snow on stilts in winter. Beautifully printed with crisp line work and soft bokashi shading, the prints come in a light yellow portfolio decorated with an allover pattern of dolls and a tie closure. Includes a title on the cover and a publisher's label inside. A wonderful complete set.
