Display of Vehicles in Takanawa, Tokyo, 1871 - Great Meiji era image depicting a range of vehicles in Takanawa, Tokyo. At the bottom, foreigner and beauties ride in a wagon drawn by two horses, the driver cracking his whip. At center left, a man rides an unusual tricycle, while rickshaws pass in either direction above. A train runs across the top of the scene, smoke pouring from the stack of the engine. A terrific design with vibrant color and wonderful detail.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 1/4" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Losses and holes, repaired. Slight creasing and soiling, stain at corner. Please see photos for details.
