Seki Sanjuro as an Angry Man, 1864

Comments - Interesting kabuki portrait of Seki Sanjuro as an angry man, scowling with furrowed brows as he throws his hands out at his sides. He wears a matching dotted coat and kimono over a light blue under robe, his thinning hair pulled back into a slender topknot. Behind him, buildings line the shore across the water. An expressive figure, nicely detailed.

Artist - Kunisada II (1823 - 1880)

Image Size - 14" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. A few small wormholes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and creasing. Please see photos for details.
