Beauties Arranging Flowers and Reading, with View of a Shrine - Attractive depiction of beauties enjoying pastimes, the young woman at right sitting at a low table reading a book. The folding screen behind her features an autumn landscape beneath a full moon. The two beauties in the center are arranging flowers, one lifting a stand with an elegant vase filled with water and a striking arrangement of greenery. The other wears an intricately patterned gray kimono tied with a black brocade obi, a pair of scissors in her hand. At left, a yellow cloud frames a view of a shrine beneath tall pine trees, the grounds crowded with visitors. A lovely design with wonderful detail. We have not offered this subject before.

Image Size - 13 5/8" x 27 7/8"
