Man about to Commit Suicide

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of a man about to commit suicide as an agitated samurai and a beauty holding a young child look on. The fellow at left holds a dirk wrapped white cloth, looking up with a frown, the few loose hairs framing his face giving him a slightly disheveled appearance. The samurai in the center throws one hand up in the air as he holds a fan out in the other. At right, the child is elegantly dressed in colorful robes and holds a small fan. The diamond pattern on the panels lining the back of the room add graphic impact. Nicely colored and detailed with burnishing on the black fan and an allover dusting of mica.
