Series; Six Jewel Rivers

The Plover Jewel River: Toyooka of the Okamotoya, circa 1823 - Beautiful design from a series pairing courtesans with the famous Six Jewel Rivers. Each beauty appears with her kamuro or child apprentice. A border of clouds separates the figures from an aizuri-e or all blue background of the featured river. A rare Kunisada beauty series.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 7/8" + top margin as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Horizontal and vertical folds. Thinning at edges, small loss at corner, a few small wormholes, repaired. Creasing, slight soiling and rubbing. Please see photos for details.
