Series; Twelve Months of Beauties, 1898

February: Plum Viewing - Lovely image of beauties enjoying an outing to view the blossoming plum trees in February. They pause at a tea stall to relax and take refreshments as they admire the trees dotted with white blossoms and buds. The woman in the center wears a pretty violet kimono shaded to cream color and bordered with delicate pink and white flowers atop slender green stems. Her blue obi features a striking pattern of silver mica waves and red maple leaves. Beautiful color and detail in this wonderful seasonal subject, with fine bokashi shading in the sky and ground and burnishing on the hair.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels, backed with paper. Slight toning and soiling, a few wrinkles, slight creasing and staining at edges. Please see photos for details.
