Comments - Handsome kabuki scene of a meeting taking place at a Tokugawa encampment, with a white-haired elder sitting in the center. A young messenger bows at left, looking up at him earnestly. Two other samurai watch from the right, one leaning forward with an anxious expression as he fans himself. A basket of peaches sits on the ground before the elder warrior, who kneels on a tiger skin. The white tent walls are emblazoned with the hollyhock mon or crest of the Tokugawa Shogunate. An interesting triptych with lively color and fine faint embossed detail on the elder's white hair.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight thinning at edge. Slight soiling and ink bleeding, a few marks and creases. Please see photos for details.
