Cherry Blossom Viewing

Series; Poems in Eastern Style for the Four Seasons

Cherry Blossom Viewing - Lovely scene of upper-class beauties on a verandah enjoying the blossoming cherry trees. A woman carries an offering tray piled with sweets, pausing to smile at her companion as she adjusts the sleeve of her colorful outer robe. At right, two young women lean eagerly over the railing of the porch, admiring the bright pink flowers. Rocky cliffs rise in the distance with a narrow waterfall tumbling over the edge. An attractive design from this rarely seen Chikanobu series.
