Prince Genji and Guests, 1855 - Interesting triptych depicting Prince Genji and guests in an elegant mansion in springtime. The nobleman kneels on a cushion at right, grinning and dipping a small spoon into a container. A lacquer tray on the floor holds a variety of tools, including feathers, metal spatulas, and wooden implements. A young boy sits beside him, watching with interest, and a girl leans forward eagerly from the stairs. The verandah overlooks a beautiful lake surrounded by a garden with blossoming cherry trees. Wonderful color and detail in the interior and furnishings. A handsome design , attractively colored.

Condition - This triptych with excellent color and detail as shown. Three separate panels. Slight creasing and soiling, a couple stains. Please see photos for details.
