Peonies, 1924

Comments - Lovely closeup image of peonies, with a large white blossom nestled among rich green leaves and a smaller red flower at lower left. This subject was included in the landmark 1930 "A Special Exhibition of Modern Japanese Prints" at the Toledo Museum of Art. A beautifully detailed and printed shin-hanga design by a rarely seen artist, published by Watanabe.
