Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty Breaking off a Cherry Branch, 1847 - 1852

Comments - Charming scene of a beauty and a young boy beneath a blossoming cherry tree, the woman reaching up to break off a flowering branch. The child clamors excitedly at her side, lifting both hands above his head. Boats can be seen on the river beyond, and a rosy glow spreads along the horizon as the sun sets. An attractive design, nicely shaded.
