A Fuji Arts Special Offer Auction

Old Japanese Gallery Inventory - This print came from a large group purchased from the inventory of an old Tokyo gallery. The gallery, popular with foreign clients in the 1950s, went out of business when the owner died almost 50 years ago. Look for the old gallery mounts, with artist and subject identification in pencil in English, on some prints. Where applicable we’ve left the mounts intact (as seen in our photos). Great group offered for the first time in 50 years!

Artist - Hokusai (1760 - 1849)

Image Size - 7 1/8" x 10" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two attached panels. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top edge from previous mounting. Loss at edge, a few wormholes, some repaired. Toning and creasing at edges. Please see photos for details.
