Takegawa, Chapter 44, 1854 - Charming scene from the famous "Tale of Genji." At left, a matron holds a young prince on her shoulder, the child grinning happily as he waves a toy mallet. A beauty crouches beside him on the stone bridge, gesturing behind her. An attractive design, detailed with faint embossing in the white text panel at upper right. A rarely seen Toyokuni III Genji series

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with paper. Horizontal and diagonal folds. Toning, soiling, a few creases, raised circular seal in upper left corner. Please see photos for details.
