Courtesan with a Peony Kimono - Attractive portrait of a courtesan out for a stroll, wearing a blue kimono patterned with large chrysanthemum blossoms over red under robes. Her obi features dragons in octagon motifs with black and green print borders, and her hair is pulled back into a sleek bun adorned with combs and many floral hairpins. A charming design, nicely suited to the kakemono or vertical diptych format.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Two separate panels. Small loss and slight thinning at edge, small hole, repaired. Slight toning and soiling. Please see photos for details.
