Courtesan with Phoenix Kimono Kakemono - Dramatic kakemono or vertical diptych of a courtesan dressed in an elegant formal kimono, which features a striking phoenix with multicolored feathers on the sleeve. She totters along on high wooden geta sandals with three "teeth" instead of the usual two, identifying her as an oiran or high ranking courtesan. A classic beauty subject that would make an attractive display.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two attached panels, partially backed with paper. A few small holes, repaired. Creasing, a few wrinkles, slight toning and soiling. Please note, due to the size, this print may be shipped rolled. Please see photos for details.
