Adachi was one of the most respected publishers of the 20th century. Their woodblocks were printed to the highest standards with excellent color and fine detail. Founded in 1925, Adachi also chose interesting and varied subjects for their prints and was the only publisher of many famous old ukiyo-e images.

Chinese Traveler in Snow - Lovely design from a series by Hokusai depicting famous Japanese and Chinese poets. A traveler on horseback pauses along the edge of a lake, looking contemplatively out over the falling snow. An attendant behind him carries a bundle in one hand and a small trunk on his back, his straw mantle covered with snow. A peaceful, serene snow scene, done in a beautiful large format.
