Genji in Autumn: The Wind in the Pines, 1854

Comments - Handsome scene of Prince Genji arriving at an elegant mansion. He stands on a walkway at left, smiling as two women bow in greeting before him. In the background at left, two men do religious penance under a rushing waterfall, one clasping his hands together in prayer. A young girl and a few men stand at the water's edge, enjoying the view of the garden. An attractive subject, detailed with embossing on the white collars.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 19 5/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Two separate panels. C-shaped tear, a few wormholes, repaired. Slight soiling and rubbing, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
