Comments - Attractive print featuring portraits of six kabuki actors in the play "Ichi-no-Tani Futaba Gunki." The actors are reflected in lacquer mirrors draped with scraps of tie-dyed cloth. At left from top to bottom, the actors are Iwai Tojaku I as the wife Sagami (TL), Ichikawa Ebizo V as Koguya Yahei (CL), and Iwai Shijaku I as Otsuma (BL). At right from top to bottom, the actors are Sawamura Tossho I as Kumagai Naozane (TR), Ichikawa Danjuro VII as Minamoto no Yoshitsune (CR), and Sawamura Tossho I as Hachirobei (BR). A handsome design in an interesting format.
