Evening in a Garden, 1891 - Beautiful Chikanobu triptych illustrating a group of women enjoying an evening in the garden of a beautiful palace. Two beauties pause in front of a large stone lantern under a blossoming cherry tree at right. The woman in the center carries a basket and looks back at two friends chatting outside the verandah of a building. Stepping stones lead to a narrow bridge over a gently flowing stream which empties into a lake with structures built out over the water. A lovely setting with fine architectural detail and soft shading in the night sky.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three attached panels. Vertical folds. Small loss and a few tears at edges, a few holes, repaired. Creasing and wrinkling, slight soiling. Please see photos for details.
