Autumn Outing

Comments - Handsome kabuki triptych of a group taking an outing to view the colorful maple leaves in Autumn. The two men on the outside seem angry, facing each other with frowns as the fellow at left pushes up his sleeves, ready to fight if necessary. Both men wear black coats over kimono tucked into striped hakama pants, the coat at right beautifully detailed with a burnished geometric pattern. The beauty seems unperturbed by their actions, smiling sweetly as she looks up, a roll of tissues in hand, while the samurai next to her appears concerned. Nice expressive figures set against a lovely landscape, the red leaves contrasting beautifully with the deep green grass.
