Series; A Brief Account of the Tokugawa Lineage

Tokugawa Ienari - Handsome illustration from the life of the eleventh Tokugawa Shogun Ienari. He is shown enjoying a boat ride in winter, with a beauty watching from the deck of a palace. She smiles as she looks out over the water, wearing a softly shaded kimono patterned with scrolls and blossoms, her hair adorned with floral ornaments. The garden setting is beautifully detailed with a narrow bridge and stone lantern, the scene framed by snow-covered pine branches. An attractive design.
