Gathering Spring Greens, 1855

Comments - Charming scene of a beauty along the edge of a lake as evening falls, a basket of spring greenery balanced atop her head. She smiles as she looks up, steadying the basket with one hand while holding up her long sleeve with the other. Her kimono is patterned with Genji symbols, and blossoming cherry branches frame the night sky. An interesting design.
