Comments - Terrific view of the lower story of the Akashi Bathhouse. In the center, Prince Genji stands beside a well, smiling as he looks up, while an attendant carries his sword as she opens the door at left. The beauty at right holds a blossoming cherry branch from the tree framing the scene behind her. Wonderful detail in the architectural setting. A charming design.

Artist - Toyokuni III/Kunisada (1786 - 1864)
