Strolling in the Yoshiwara

Comments - Lovely design of two elegantly dressed courtesans strolling through the Yoshiwara in winter. They are accompanied by two identically dressed young kamuro or child attendants, and a servant holding an umbrella over them. Beautifully drawn with graceful flowing line work and fine detail in the intricate fabric patterns. A wonderful Choki subject we've never seen in reprint before.
