Beauty Warming Her Hands inside Her Kimono

Series; Eight Views of Tea Stalls in Celebrated Places

Beauty Warming Her Hands inside Her Kimono - Beautiful portrait of a tea house waitress warming her hands inside her kimono. She smiles happily as she looks down, huddling under her outer robe for warmth. Her hair is pulled back into a sleek bun, ornamented with a single comb and a few hairpins. The outer robe features a delicate pattern of scrolls and blossoms, with a solid black collar, tied with a feather patterned green obi. Wonderful fine detail in the hairline.

Artist - Utamaro (1750 - 1806)

Image Size - 15 1/4" x 9 5/8" + margins as shown
