Takamizawa was known as one of the finest reprint publishers of the 20th century and produced some of the highest quality ukiyo-e woodblock reprints of all time. All prints bear the red "Takamizawa Print" seal on the reverse attesting to the Takamizawa publication of these prints.

Comments - Osen, the daughter of a teahouse owner, was a famous Edo beauty in the 18th century. Here she is seen running away from her home, carried on her lover’s back. Above the couple in the distance, a scene from the tale of the foxfires. Fox human characters holding flaming torches, emerging from a temple area.
