Azumaya, Chapter 50: Ashigaru Kichiemon - Handsome scene from the Ichimisai-Kyogoku revenge story of the low-ranking retainer (ashigaru) Kichiemon arranging sandals. In the drama, after the evil samurai Kyogoku no Takumi kills the fencing master Ichimisai, the master's daughters Osono and Okiku set out to avenge their father's death. Here, Kichiemon looks over his shoulder with an unhappy scowl at the house behind him where women can be seen inside. He claps two sandals together in his hands, two more pairs lined up neatly at his feet, the pine tree at left surrounded with a bamboo garden fence. Nicely detailed.
