Heavenly God - A beautiful contemporary woodblock dating to the late 20th century by Isao Nishijima illustrating a spring temple scene at peak cherry blossom time. A classic round bridge leads to a temple gate and temple beyond. The scene is punctuated with beautiful blossoming cherry trees bending in front of the bridge and teeming in the foreground. This is Isao Nishijima’s modern take on the classic shin-hanga cherry blossoms and temple park scene. A tranquil, beautiful print with great color.

This is a large format, limited edition woodblock limited to 180 prints. Titled, signed in pencil with red artist’s seal, and numbered in pencil 10/180. A classic 20th century Japanese design and a rare woodblock print due to the small edition size.
