The 47 Ronin, Act 9: Yuranosuke’s Country Retreat in Yamashina - Dramatic illustration from the famous "Kanadehon Chushingura" of a scene taking place at Yuranosuke's country home at Yamashina. Tonase threatens to kill herself and her daughter, the bride Konami, to atone for her husband Honzo's actions having led to Lord Hangan's death. Honzo, disguised as a traveling monk, goads Yuranosuke into attacking him with a spear so that he might die instead. Fine detail in the interior setting and the snowy courtyard outside.
