The Beauty Ofuji with a Well Bucket, 1856

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of the beauty Ofuji kneeling on the ground beside a well, holding the bucket above her head as someone tugs on the end of her tie-dyed obi. She smiles slightly as she looks up out of the corners of her eyes, dressed in a boldly patterned red and blue kimono. Behind her, a doorway in a black fence leads to a garden with stepping stones. A handsome design with an expressive figure.
