Comments - Handsome depiction of two sumo wrestlers and a commoner under a blossoming cherry tree. The man in the center grimaces angrily as he grips a kimono tossed over his shoulder. He wears a traditional fringed ceremonial apron under his kimono, and black socks with his zori sandals. The wrestler at right frowns at him, also clutching a robe over his shoulder. His kimono is patterned with shell-shaped designs with Genji motifs. Terrific detail in the expressive faces. A great kabuki triptych.
