Hashihime, Chapter 45: Chidori - Handsome scene from the popular kabuki play "Yoshitsune Sembon Zakura" of the beauty Chidori escaping from a castle carrying two swords. She pauses to look back over her shoulder, watching the guards pursuing her coming over the arched wooden bridge leading to the palace. She wears a beautiful black kimono patterned with chrysanthemum blossoms and bordered with a red cherry blossom print, her hair adorned with clusters of tiny flowers and ribbons. A lovely portrait, nicely detailed.
