Eisho (active circa. 1790 - 1799) Japanese Woodblock Reprint
Hanabito of the Ogiya

Series; Contest of Beauties of the Pleasure Quarters

Hanabito of the Ogiya - Lovely portrait of the beauty Hanabito of Ogiya reading a long letter. She smiles with delight as she clutches the scroll in her hands, wearing an informal blue and white tie-dyed kimono. A classic Edo beauty design with attractive color and fine detailing in the hairline. Would make a beautiful framed presentation.

Beautifully carved and printed by the venerable Ishu-Kankokai of Tokyo, this charming reprint is very rare and a wonderful choice for a collector interested in classic Edo era beauty designs.

Artist - Eisho (active circa. 1790 - 1799)

Image Size - 15 1/2" x 10" + margins as shown
