Comments - Attractive scene of a young boy bowing in greeting as Prince Genji arrives at a palace. The nobleman grins down at the youth, wearing a striking black coat patterned with herons and falling snow and trimmed with a red pleated collar over his brown kimono. The room opens onto a view of an expansive garden and pond where a beauty fishes at the edge of the water. Lovely detail in the fabrics and setting.
