Kneeling Beauty

Comments - Attractive portrait of a young woman kneeling next to a mat with feathers and tools on it for the art of bonseki, creating miniature landscapes on black lacquer trays using white sand, pebbles, and small rocks. She wears red kimono bordered with fans and flowers and tied with a purple obi decorated with blossoms and leaves. Nicely colored and detail, with embossing on the white kimono collar and trim, and burnishing on the hair.
