Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauties Traveling

Comments - Charming scene of two beauties pausing for a break while traveling. The woman at left bend over to retie her sandal as her companion waits. She lifts the edge of her hat as a young boy passes her carrying a loaded basket on his back, a walking stick in her hand. Two large stones topped with brushwood fences flank the path, with a large marker behind them and a blossoming tree at right. A nicely detailed scene from everyday life in Edo era Japan.
