Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Lucky God Daikoku, Teapot, and Grasshopper Harimaze

Comments - Harimaze Prints - This woodblock comes from a group of Meiji era harimaze or cutout prints. Harimaze are woodblock prints featuring several images on one page, designed to be cut apart and pasted into albums or mounted to screens. They often combine designs by several artists into one print. Subjects include figures, landscapes, and poems or verses in calligraphy. It is rare to find uncut harimaze pages. An interesting format with a nice variety of designs in a single print.
