Original Edo era Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty Returning from the Bath

Comments - Attractive Edo era portrait of a beauty returning from the bath, a robe tucked under her arm and a small bag hanging from a cord caught between her teeth. She wears a blue and white summer kimono, her hair pulled back into a bun adorned with hairpins, a few loose wisps of damp hair framing her face. A circular inset framed by irises features three banners, while a softly shaded sinuous blue border runs across the top. A charming subject.
