Series; True Views of Famous Places in Modern Tokyo

Mitsui-gumi Building, 1877 - Handsome view of the five-story Mitsui-gumi House, which was built in 1873 and housed the First National Bank. The Western-style lower floors are topped with a miniature castle reflecting shogunate style, complete with a tiled roof. A cupola is topped with a flagpole, and visitors enjoy a view from the balcony at the base of the cupola. A great image of this modern Meiji building, beautifully detailed.

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Small hole, repaired. Faint diagonal fold, wrinkling at top edge. Please see photos for details. Good overall.
