Minamoto no Yorinobu Swimming across a Bay to Attack Tadatsune, 1879 - Dramatic design of Minamoto no Yorinobu crossing a bay to attack the rebel Taira no Tadatsune. Dressed in armor and wearing a horned battle helmet, he leans forward on his gray horse as a retainer swims alongside him, holding the horse's bridle as the panicked animal rears its head. Another warrior holds the Minamoto banner high, the cloth fluttering in the wind. A terrific image with beautiful color and a lovely sense of movement in the water.
